Where to fish when the markets take a dive

Some blame it on the Russia Ukraine war, some on the worrying inflation numbers, but the real question is, were we ever ready to face a fall ever?

Last two years have been exceptionally good for many traders and investors. Many thanks to the extraordinary profits from the market recoveries from the Covid-19 lows. But if you ask any veteran market investor of witnessing such turnarounds, they will say they have seen many.

What’s more important in a good investment than the quality of the investment and its volume, is the timing of the trade. ‘A well timed trade can make the broke beggar fat and the mayor mere’. So what is the best time to put in your money? Well its exactly when everyone says ‘Its not the best time to make a trade’.

With Russia Ukraine ongoing war and raising inflation numbers all across the globe, a wise man will suggest to keep you money closer but not a smart one. A smart one will use this opportunity to enjoy the fruits for which he/she is sowing the seeds today.

But where exactly to invest?

And just like when we have a new trend, ‘when the trend trends, everyone follows‘. Similarly, when the economies fall (maybe in the name of inflation or war after effects), everything else falls along. Majority of the assets equities, crypto, asset valuations.. everything starts to tumble when the markets fall. Majority don’t have enough funds at these times to invest because they have already been too optimistic to stay in cash. So the question is what is you have enough liquidity, how to choose the right asset, what asset to choose exactly?

What asset to choose exactly?

As always said, it depends on the risk appetite one has, the amount of risk reward ratio they want to hold. But fortunately, at times of market crash, risk reward ration tends to shift in your favor, reason? Well in a nutshell, it is the time when everything you once thought you couldn’t afford is now affordable (obviously in investment sense)
But what exactly to buy? A piece of land or maybe some equity or maybe some crypto?

If you are seeking for an ‘investment’ investment, the your parameters should revolve around the return and the time period it will take to achieve that time. If you choose to invest in stocks, few will run faster than others when the markets will recover. If you choose to buy some property, it might take lot of time based on inflation factor for you to achieve your yield goals. If one chooses to go with crypto they may take years or even the market may become dead..well who knows? Choice is all yours, take your decision wisely. Happy investing.
